Plot Summary

Reagan Thompson (played by Michael Keaton), who is already over fifty years old, was once a popular Hollywood movie star, and his superhero, Bird Man, is well-known to everyone. Nowadays, glory has become a thing of the past, and Reagan, unwilling to be lonely, moved to Broadway in an attempt to regain attention and respect by adapting Raymond Carver's "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love". Unfortunately, there is a huge gap between reality and ideals, and the crew's budget is tight. The terrible male protagonist is hit on the head by a lamp, and his daughter Sami (played by Emma Stone), who has just come out of a drug rehabilitation center, is on the verge of becoming a sharp tongued drama critic. In addition, the Hollywood rising star Mike Shannon (played by Edward Norton), who is hired to save the scene, is rebellious and flamboyant, repeatedly tampering with the dramas that Reagan has worked hard to create.
