Plot Summary

The special effects that were already at the pinnacle of British cinema in the 1980s are now only sufficient for television dramas. However, the grand scheme and grandeur of films are still the reason why many science fiction and horror movies that seem to have the same level of production today only deserve to be classified as B-level films. The spacecraft Churchill is approaching Halley's Comet to explore its internal structure. Captain Tom Carlson (played by Steve Railsback) leads a team out of the cabin and discovers an abandoned spaceship hidden inside the comet, containing the mummies of multiple strange creatures and three humans sleeping in crystal coffins. To unravel the mystery, Tom ordered them to be taken back to the spaceship. Thirty days later, the empty Churchill flew to Earth, and NASA sent the Columbia to dock with it. Astronauts discovered burn marks and the three sleeping individuals in the ship, while all crew members died. After returning to Earth, the woman among the three (played by Mathilda May) suddenly woke up and absorbed the essence of the young guard. Afterwards, the guards turned into mummies and eventually weathered. Not long after, the other two woke up, as if a disaster was looming on Earth...
