Description
Plot Summary
In 1947, in England, the renowned detective Sherlock Holmes (played by Ian McKellen) lived in seclusion in the countryside of Sussex, at the age of 93. Whenever he sees a movie about himself in the cinema, he can't help but shake his head. Most of the heroic deeds about him are rumors, such as his never liking to smoke a pipe as described, he loves smoking. After retiring, Holmes became a beekeeper, surrounded only by his butler Mrs. Munro (played by Laura Linney) and her amateur detective son Roger (played by Milo Parker). He still holds a grudge against those old things that are neither outdated nor contemporary. Holmes is determined to solve a unsolved case from 50 years ago without the help of Watson (voiced by Colin Starkey), which will also be his last adventure in life. This film is adapted from the novel "A Slight Trick of the Mind" by Mitch Kulin.
