Plot Summary

Steve (played by Bill Murray) is an ocean documentary director whose works have brought dreamy colors to many children's childhoods. During a shooting, Steve's old friend died at the mouth of a tiger shark, which deeply affected Steve. He vowed to find the tiger shark, seek revenge for his friend, and use it as the subject of his new film. At the press conference, Steve met Ned (played by Owen Wilson), who claimed to be his son, and he invited this young man to join his creative team. Steve faces many challenges, including a shortage of funds, a strained relationship with his wife, and the documentary he produces has gradually lost its appeal. A journalist named Cate Blanchett joined Steve's team to write a biography of him. However, she didn't get along well with Steve and instead got closer to Ned, which made Steve jealous. Meanwhile, Ned's true identity also made Steve doubt it. The arrival of a group of pirates completely bankrupted Steve's plan, and a crew member was kidnapped.
