Description
Plot Summary
Sailor (played by Nicolas Cage), who was imprisoned for murder, finally survived several years of imprisonment and was released. His beloved Lora (played by Laura Dern) welcomed him out of prison. The lovers were reunited again, but Lola's mother Mary never liked Sailor and kept obstructing her daughter's relationship with him. The two had no choice but to elope and come to the south. Mary brought her detective boyfriend Johnny to track them down, attempting to bring Lola back. During their elopement, both of them revealed to each other the dark years of their lives, which were mixed with bloodshed, violence, and sexuality, but they fully understood each other. At this time, Sailor was working for a drug dealer named Santo. Santo was afraid that Johnny would discover their trading place by tracking Sailor, so he killed Johnny. Another drug dealer Bobby set up a trap to get rid of Sailor and is waiting for him to take the bait.
