Plot Summary

In 19th century Ireland, handsome and robust tenant youth Joseph Donley (played by Tom Cruise) suffered the pain of losing his father. In order to avenge his father, this reckless young man is determined to kill landlord Daniel Christie (played by Robert Prosky). By a twist of fate, he was on the verge of success, but as a result, he met the beautiful daughter of the landlord, Xia Lian (played by Nicole Kidman).
