Plot Summary

In the future world where the boundary between fantasy and reality is blurred, technology has developed to a level far beyond the times. The queen of the video game industry, Ella Geller (played by Jennifer Jason Leigh), is not only beautiful and sexy, but also a designer who designs cutting-edge games. The virtual reality system she designed, "X-Touch," can directly interfere with the player's nervous system. At the trial conference, players from all sides gathered together to experience the latest masterpiece of Alila. However, a group of fanatics attempted to assassinate Alila, and in a critical moment, Alila was rescued by guard Ted Piku (played by Jude Law). In order to evade pursuit, the two enter the alternate dimensional world of "X Contact", but everything is becoming increasingly unreal. This science fiction thriller film "Sensory Game", which contains a lot of social issues, is directed by one of the most controversial and successful directors in the international film industry, David Conenberg. This film was nominated for the Golden Bear Award at the 49th Berlin International Film Festival in 1999.
