Plot Summary

The ultimate version of 'Eastern Evil and Western Poison' that has been repaired and re edited. The film is based on Jin Yong's martial arts masterpiece "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", but the main storyline has shifted to the unpopular Ouyang Feng (played by Leslie Cheung) from the original work. Ouyang Feng left his hometown of Baituo Mountain because his former lover (played by Maggie Cheung) was angry and married his elder brother. He went to the desert and opened a liquor house dedicated to introducing assassins. In his self exile in the desert, he reunited with his friend Huang Yaoshi (played by Tony Leung Ka fai), met the refined Murong Yan (played by Brigitte Lin), deeply missed his wife Peach Blossom (played by Carina Lau) but did not want to meet the sunset warrior (played by Tony Leung Chiu wai), the stubborn revenge orphan (played by Joey Yung), and the shoeless Hong Qi (played by Jacky Cheung) who had just come to explore the world. After experiencing the life and death of others and emotional entanglements, Ouyang Feng learned of his lover's death. After everything was relieved, he burned down the tavern and left the desert... The restored version and the 1994 version have slight differences in terms of visuals, duration, music, title, dialogue, and camera.
