Plot Summary

In the 1930s, a girls' church boarding school was established in England. The school atmosphere here is extremely strict, and girls are required to stick to conventions and not allow any decadent or negative thoughts. And Miss G (played by Eva Green), the teacher of the swimming team, appears so unique. She has a bold personality, an open mind, and encourages students to strive for their own desires. In the eyes of the girls, Miss G is so charming. Not long after, a noblewoman from Spain, Feynma Corona (played by Maria Valverde), transferred to this school. Her elegant and noble temperament, as well as her friendly and approachable personality, impressed the girls. Even Miss G fell in love with this girl from a wealthy family who had independent thoughts. However, Feynma's attitude towards handling things gradually made Miss G feel conflicted and confused, and the girl who used to be the central character, Dai Rasfield (played by Juno Temple), also felt jealous... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by female author Sheila Kohler.
