Description
Plot Summary
The film is adapted from the biographical novel of the same name by Canadian author Mordecai Richler in 1997. The male lead Paul Giamatti won the Best Actor award at the 68th Golden Globe Awards. Barney Panofsky (played by Paul Giamatti) is a television director and also a hockey enthusiast. Alcoholism, smoking, and vulgar language are all flaws that follow him without exception. At the age of 65, he began to reminisce about his life. He has met different women: his first wife Clara (played by Rachelle Lefevre) believed in a free soul. The second Mrs. P (played by Minnie Driver) is a wealthy Jew. My third wife, Miliam (Rosamund Pike), is beautiful and virtuous. And Paul's relationship with his father Issey (played by Dustin Hoffman) seems to lack a true sense of familial affection. In his old age, recalling the past, what kind of emotions would it be .....
