Plot Summary

A young dolphin was playing freely in the ocean, but unfortunately caught in a crab trap and its tail was severely damaged. After being discovered by locals, this female dolphin was taken to Clearwater Marine Hospital. There, people named it Winter. However, at this moment, its struggle against fate has just begun. Mammals like dolphins lose their ability to maintain balance and swim in water without their tails. If it lacks swimming ability, it cannot come to the surface of the water to breathe. This also means that Winter will either live his entire life in a semi exposed state; Either suffocate to death in the water. In order to prevent this life from living without dignity and to save it, a group of marine biologists, veterinarians, and prosthetic builders joined forces and used their intelligence to bring a miracle to Winter - an artificial caudal fin. This artificial caudal fin not only helped Winter survive, but also made it an idol for millions of Americans, a symbol of hope, courage, and unyielding struggle against fate.
