Description

Plot Summary

In the 1990s, the Chief Officer of the East India Company, Ban Buhua Quan (played by Aaron Kwok), was only 40 years old and had already achieved great success, often entering and exiting high society. At work, the boss highly appreciates his talents. However, in life, he faces the emotional dilemma of two women: one is his wife Adi (played by Yang Caini), and the other is his assistant Fion (played by Liu Xinyou). However, what caused him the most pain was his own background. 40 years ago, due to a tsunami, Quan Mama's (played by He Chaoyi/Bao Qijing) ship encountered an accident and only brought back a mixed race baby, which was Ah Quan. From then on, Aquan and Quanma went out to sea to fish, and formed a pure friendship with the young daughter of the servants. The latter speaks without restraint, always encountering violent beatings when it comes to his background. The two of them, who had no idea, eventually separated due to an accident. Aquan studies very hard, but his relationship with Quan's father is very tense. It wasn't until after work that he slowly reconciled with his father. Ah Quan's background has always troubled him, and even on foreign ships, he finds it difficult to gain recognition. Later, because his family was in decline, Quan's father died. Quan took their brothers and sisters with him to seek relief as if they were refugees, and even compromised with the unruly ship owner. In the end, he learned about his adopted background, which brought about a huge transformation in his life
