Plot Summary

Due to failing the college entrance exam, urban youth Hirano Courage (played by Shota Ranya), who has just bid farewell to his high school years, stands at a crossroads in his life. He was accidentally attracted by the beautiful girl in the forestry trainee's promotional materials, so he came to a remote mountain village in Mie County with no mobile phone signal to receive a one-year forestry training course. At first, he was careless and lacked motivation, which led to criticism from his senior colleague Iida Kazuki (played by Hideaki Ito). Just as he was about to escape with courage, he unexpectedly met the cover beauty Naoki Ishii (played by Masami Nagasawa), causing him to inexplicably return to the dormitory. After the early training, the courage followed Senior Iida to Shengo Village and began practicing and learning on the spot with his master (played by Hikaru Mitsuishi). The harsh environment polished the pride and restlessness of this urban youth, and without realizing it, he had grown into an excellent lumberjack capable of standing alone...
