Description
Plot Summary
There is an elephant in Manzhouli Zoo who sits there every day. The boy who stood up for his friend, the bully brother who avenged his younger brother, and the imprisoned girl are stuck in the dark cracks of the world, unable to escape, but struggling to see the elephant. On a bleak and cold winter day, desperate figures collide in an asymmetrical and unbalanced image, bursting the suppressed melancholy and spreading wildly in the low-cost production of rough scenery and hazy lighting. The debut work of author and director Hu Bo (pen name Hu Qian), with its youthful simplicity and stunning sensibility, was appreciated by the Berlin Film Festival and nominated for the forum section, but it was a lost puzzle that could not fit the harmonious main theme. Not being able to see the elephant is a common destiny, and the sudden fall of Hu Bo has become a regret for this generation.
