Plot Summary

In the year of Chunzu, Ding Ruoquan (played by Xue Jingqiu) was exiled to the distant Heishan Island due to the persecution of Xinyou. After arriving on the island, Ding Ruoquan developed a strong interest in the marine life here and decided to write a book about marine life. He sought help from the young fisherman Chang Da (played by Bian Yaohan), who was born and raised here and familiar with various marine creatures, but initially Chang Da refused because Ding Ruoquan was guilty. Later, Ding Ruoquan learned that Chang University often encountered difficulties in self-learning literacy, so he proposed to teach each other the knowledge they were good at. Chang University eventually agreed, and the two became good teachers and friends of each other through mutual collision.
