Description
Plot Summary
The film is adapted from the World War II version of "Life of Pi" and tells the thrilling experience of a plane crash in the United States, with three people on board drifting across the Pacific Ocean. It is based on a true story. In 1942, World War II was raging. On January 16th, three unfamiliar soldiers, played by Garrett Dillahut (from "12 Years a Slave" and "The Ring") as a pilot, Felton as a bomber, and Jack Abel (from "Percy Jackson and the Thief of Fire") as a radio communicator, set off on a reconnaissance mission aboard a US Navy plane. The plane ran out of fuel and had to make an emergency landing in the South Pacific. The three of them had no food, no water, no supplies, only a yellow life raft that was 4 feet wide and 8 feet long, allowing them to drift on the perilous sea surface. They must support each other, overcome hunger, storms, and shark attacks, and find a way to steer the life raft towards safe land.
