Plot Summary

Sam Spade (played by Humphrey Bogart) and his partner Archer opened a detective agency in San Francisco. One day, a noblewoman (played by Mary Astor) visited and entrusted them to search for her missing sister. They immediately launched an investigation and found that the noblewoman's sister was with a mysterious man named Ses. I thought it was just an ordinary case of disappearance, but the development of the situation was beyond their expectations. Archer was killed while investigating the case, and the rumored Ses was also killed one after another. The police suspected Sam of having an affair with Archer's wife and killed his partner. Sam, who was deeply mired in the quagmire, continued to investigate the case. He found out that the noblewoman had once resold antiques with thugs such as Gutman. Afterwards, Gutman asked Sam to help him find a priceless statue called the "Maltese Eagle". Sam began to study this mysterious statue and discovered that the truth was hidden within it.
