Plot Summary

In the 1930s, the Chinese nation, plagued by numerous disasters, entered the darkest and most painful period of history. The ambitious Japanese imperialism showed a greedy face, attempting to eliminate the Chinese nation and invade the mainland. In 1933, Zhang Zizhong (played by Ke Junxiong), the commander of the 37th Division of the Nationalist 29th Army, known as "Zhang Pipi", rose to fame in the Battle of Xifengkou on the Great Wall and was later promoted to the rank of commander of the 29th Army.
