Description
Plot Summary
This film was created by renowned director He Menghua and screenwriter Ni Kuang in 1978. The story tells that the treacherous minister Qin Quan (played by Gu Feng) is suffering from gangrene and is in imminent danger. He instructs the chief guard Sima Jun (played by Luo Lie) to go to the pharmacist's place to retrieve the longevity vine for treatment. The pharmacist knew that Qin Quan wanted to use him, but he firmly refused. Sima Jun had no choice but to kill the pharmacist and steal the treasure box containing the Changsheng Vine. Sima Jun's junior brother Tie Erlang (played by Liu Yong), out of righteous indignation, waited for an opportunity to steal Changsheng Teng. Sima Jun angrily killed Tie Mu, but Changsheng Teng could not be found. Upon seeing his mother's murder, Erlang was filled with grief and joined forces with the daughter of a pharmacist, Tan Li (played by Yan Nanxi), to engage in a life and death battle with Sima Jun
