Plot Summary

The HMS Devonshire of the British Navy was attacked and sunk by an unknown torpedo in Chinese territorial waters. In order to investigate the situation, the British Navy decided to use force and sent warships to the affected area for counterattack. However, he was stopped by the secret intelligence chief M (played by Judi Dench) and sent intelligence agent James Bond (played by Pierce Brosnan), codenamed 007, to investigate the real cause and avoid a war between the two countries. In the midst of an ongoing investigation, media tycoon Carver (played by Jonathan Pryce) caught Bond's eye. And at the dinner hosted by Carver, Bond met his ex girlfriend Paris (played by Teri Hatcher), now Mrs. Carver. With the help of Paris, Bond used GPS to divert the already deployed British warship from its course and bought valuable time for his investigation.
