Description
Plot Summary
Young captain Edmund (played by James Caviezel) is preparing to marry his beloved fianc é e, Mercer. However, co captain Fernand, jealous of everything Edmund has done, designs to imprison him for life in the most heavily guarded prison on the island, and Mercer also falls into Fernand's arms. During his 13 year imprisonment, Edmund met a fellow inmate and, under his guidance, Edward devised a meticulous escape plan. Additionally, Edward obtained a map containing a huge treasure trove. Finally, on a dark and windy night, Edward risked his life to escape from prison. After finding the treasure, Edmond used money to buy himself the title of Count of Monte Cristo. After changing his name, Edmund began his journey of revenge.
