Plot Summary

During the Korean War, there was a remote mountain village called Dongmo Village near Gangwon Province. The people there are isolated from the outside world and live a self-sufficient life, unaware of the war happening outside. South Korean National Army's Biao Xuanzhe (played by Shin Ha kyun) and health worker Moon Sang Sang (played by Seo Jae kyung) fled and fell behind, and arrived in Dongmo Village. At the same time, Lee Soo hwa (played by Jung Jae yong) of the North Korean People's Army, veteran Zhang Rongxi (played by Lim Ha Long), and young soldier Xu Zeji also arrived in Dongmo Village. Prior to this, due to the plane crash, Captain Smith (played by Stephen Taylor), an American pilot, also arrived in the village. When the soldiers of both sides met, they were on high alert, but later they gradually calmed down from a tense confrontation, not invading each other, but still harboring great hostility. Through contact with the simple villagers, the soldiers became accustomed to the peaceful life of Dongmo Village. Later, even though the war broke out in the village, the soldiers from both sides decided to shoulder the task of defending Dongmo Village.
