Plot Summary

The story takes place in the distant year 2057, when the gradual decline of the sun poses the greatest crisis in human history. Without sunlight, the earth will be plunged into darkness and ice, never to see the sun again. In order to save the Earth, an eight person action team was formed, consisting of Captain Kainda (played by Hiroyuki Sanada), botanist Karenzo (played by Michelle Yeoh), navigator Trey (played by Benedict Wong), physicist Capa (played by Cillian Murphy), pilot Casey (played by Rose Byrne) and her assistant Mas (played by Chris Evans), commander Harvey (played by Troy Garity), and Dr. Shirell (played by Cliff Curtis). Carrying the mission of all mankind, eight people piloted the spacecraft "Icarus II" towards the sun. As the destination approached, problems kept arising. They not only lost contact with Earth, but also received a distress signal from their predecessor, Icarus One. The atmosphere of danger and anxiety constantly permeates and spreads among the eight industry elites. Can they successfully complete the task? Can we safely return to Earth?
