Plot Summary

British noblewoman Sarah Ashley (played by Nicole Kidman) travels alone across the ocean with the intention of persuading her husband to sell his ranch in Australia and return to England. In the northern port city of Darwin, Australia, Sarah meets cowherd Cho (played by Hugh Jackman). Zhuo drove Sarah on a long journey to the ranch, but unexpectedly only saw the body of Sarah's new deceased husband. Sad Sara intended to quickly sell her ranch, but she fell out with the farm manager Neil Fletcher (played by David Wenham) to protect the indigenous child Nora (played by Brandon Walters) whom she had just met. 1500 bulls were rushing to Darwin Port to load the ship, so Sarah had to ask Zhuo for help. The cattle herding journey made Sarah and Zhuo fall in love with Australia. Not long after marriage, the two of them had a close relationship, but Zhuo's wandering personality led him to leave Sara and continue herding cattle; Nora, who was supposed to perform an Australian Aboriginal adult runaway ritual, was arrested along with other mixed race children and taken to Padres Island. Her grandfather, King George (played by David Gulpilil), was also imprisoned. At the same time, World War II broke out, the Japanese bombed Darwin Port, and the rivers and mountains were shattered.
