Description
Plot Summary
In a family run Taggart Railway Company, the current president is James Taggart, the eldest son of the family, and the vice president is Dagny Taggart. The siblings have completely different ideas and methods to save the company's precarious operation. One only verbally complains about investments in the Mexico San Sebastian branch line that have not been thoroughly evaluated, without proposing any planning or execution plans. They often view things and slander others with a sour grape mentality of not seeing others succeed; The other person, with the slogan "I'm like a starving madman, looking for anyone who can do things well!", worked hard with Eddie Willis to save the Taggart Railway Company. In order to successfully complete the railway branch line in Rio Norte, they collaborated with Hank Riordan of Riordan Steel and used Riordan's newly invented alloy as the rail. Unexpectedly, the successful construction of the Rio Norte railway branch line was another unfortunate beginning. The behind the scenes production Atlas shrugs his shoulders is a masterpiece of Ann Rand, a famous American philosopher and novelist in the last century. This Russian American novelist praised rationality and believed that the highest virtue of human beings is rationality. She disregarded the biases of traditional public opinion and advocated individualism, believing that a society that cannot maximize individual interests is not an ideal society. Her objectivist philosophy has been popular on American campuses since the 1950s, influencing several generations of Americans, and she herself has become an idol admired by American youth. Atlas Shrugged Her Shoulders is her most famous novel, which once had a great impact on American society. The book promotes the idea of money supremacy and explores the morality of rational selfishness. Just published in 1957, it faced social criticism but was exceptionally popular, second only to the Bible in sales in the United States, and influenced many intellectuals at the time, even becoming a must read extracurricular book for American students.
