Description
Plot Summary
Old man Woody (played by Bruce Dern) received an advertisement stating that he had won a million dollar prize. He firmly believed in this and decided to walk from Billings, Montana to Lincoln, Nebraska to receive the award. His wife and two sons repeatedly tried to dissuade him, but ultimately their youngest son David (played by Will Forte) decided to drive him to Lincoln to receive the award. On their way to Lincoln, they passed by Woody's hometown and decided to visit those relatives they hadn't seen in a long time. During the brief stay of Woody's family there, the whole town knew that Woody had won a big prize, and he immediately became a celebrity in the town, followed by his old creditors. David gradually learned about Woody's unknown past and gained a new understanding of his father .....
