Plot Summary

High school girl Konan (played by Momoka Nakamura) unexpectedly sees her charming uncle Yukihiko Nishino (played by Uchino Takeno) at home, who had dated her mother Natsumi (played by Kumiko Aso) ten years ago. Nishino passed away unexpectedly not long ago, and he had said he would meet Natsumi after his death. At first, he was startled, but Xiaonan gradually got used to Nishino's presence and came to Nishino's funeral with him. In Xiumei Manor, mournful music played, and women dressed in black mourning clothes rushed in. They were all women who had dated Nishino before. Xiao Nan accidentally met the housewife Xiao Baihe (played by Sawako Agawa) and heard her recount the story of Meng Lang, who was dating girls such as Nishino and Manami (played by Makiko Ono), Yukiko (played by Tsubasa Honda), Subaru (played by Riko Narumi), and Ayu (played by Fumino Kimura) at the same time. Seemingly wild and unrestrained, Nishino has something he pursues but cannot obtain... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Hiroshi Kawakami, winner of the 115th Akutagawa Prize.
