Plot Summary

The story takes place in Shanghai in the 1930s. Gu Weibang (played by Yang Youning) is an unknown young director. By chance, he meets a female star named Meng Sifan (played by Lin Xinru), and they hit it off immediately. They decide to make a love thriller movie, which Gu Weibang names "Midnight Song". Everything went smoothly, and the actors joined the cast one after another, just waiting for filming to begin. Gu Weibang chose the filming location at the Ligong Cinema. Although many people warned him that there had been sensational supernatural events here before and that it was not advisable to stay for a long time, the stubborn Gu Weibang paid no attention. As expected, soon after, many strange things happened in the crew one after another, until the actor who played the male lead died mysteriously, and everyone realized that the situation had become so serious.
