Description
Plot Summary
Hulu will launch a new drama called "Immigrant" that focuses on the history and scandals behind the "world's number one strip boy group" Chippendales. It stars Kumel Nanjani ("Silicon Valley" and "Eternals") as executive producer, and is written by Robert Siegel ("The Big Start"). The series has already been pre ordered for 8 episodes of the entire season. This drama is depicted as a crazy, dark comedy crime story, with Nanjani playing Somen "Steve" Banerjee, an Indian American businessman who founded the famous male strip show Chippendales. In the 1980s, Chippendales became popular in New York and became a cultural phenomenon of materialism. Subsequently, there were bloody cases of multiple runway producers, dancers, and choreographers being murdered. Eventually, Banerjee confessed to arson, fraud, and hired murder charges.
