Plot Summary

Curtis (played by Michael Shannon) is a construction worker who works very hard to support his family. Fortunately, he has a harmonious relationship with his wife Samantha (played by Jessica Chastain) and a six-year-old hearing-impaired daughter named Hannah. One day, Curtis was awakened by a very real nightmare. In the dream, a terrifying tornado came and it rained like asphalt, and the entire town was flattened. From then on, similar nightmares frequently occurred, and Curtis gradually began to believe that it was an apocalypse. Everything that happened in his dreams was brought to reality by him, and he became irritable and silent. He even built storm shelters at home and lost his job. Samantha didn't understand her husband's series of changes and believed that he was sick and should see a psychologist. She also spent a lot of money building useless things for him, buying expensive and useless gas masks, losing her job and medical insurance, and became extremely angry. Curtis' symptoms are becoming increasingly severe and unacceptable, and his situation depends on whether the storm he foresaw will come or not
