Plot Summary

The drama is adapted from the 2010 Russian spy network exposure incident, and the creator himself served as a CIA agent from 1990 to 1994. During the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, shortly after Reagan was elected as the President of the United States, a pair of former Soviet KGB spies were instructed by their superiors to lurk in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., waiting for an opportunity to collect military and political intelligence. Disguised as an American style family - husband Philip (Matthew Rhys), wife Elizabeth (Keri Russell), and 13-year-old daughter Paige (Holly Taylor) and 10-year-old son Henry, who are unaware of their own affairs. FBI agent Stan (played by Noah Emmerich) disguises himself as a civilian and moves next door to investigate him. Meanwhile, their relationship has become increasingly intimate and sincere over time, but the escalation of the Cold War and the attention and surveillance maintained by spy organizations are also testing their emotional connection. More importantly, Phillip is increasingly adapting to American values and ways of thinking.
