Description
Plot Summary
The first war masterpiece, the Russo Japanese War, lasted for about a year and a half from February of Meiji 37 to July of Meiji 38, during which Japan and Russia fought over control of the Korean and Chinese regions. The person who launched the decisive battle was the Seventh Division led by Nogi Hidenori, confronting the powerful Russian army. Both sides engaged in a life and death offensive and defensive battle around the 'Two Hundred and Thirty Heights'. This film has a strong tendency towards militarism and glorifies Japan's war. Please appreciate this film from a dialectical materialist perspective to further understand Japan's underlying militaristic ideology.
