Description

Plot Summary

The story of 'Dominating the World' follows closely on from 'The Storm of Time'. Lu Yunsheng (played by Lv Liangwei) has a grand scene. He values loyalty and does not care about expenses, which leads to his inability to make ends meet. Therefore, he plans to enter the banking industry, but unexpectedly, the bankers in Shanghai collectively resist. In 1937, the government launched the "New Life" movement, and Lu Yunsheng gave up his opium business and took the lead in drug rehabilitation, almost losing his life. Soon after, the Lugou Bridge Incident broke out, and Lu Yunsheng donated fighter jets to support the resistance war, but still could not reverse the outcome of Shanghai's fall. This battle also led to the deaths of many of his students. Lu Yunsheng temporarily resided in Hong Kong to avoid the Japanese, while Huang Jinrong (played by Zheng Zeshi) stayed in Shanghai to pretend to be foolish; Yuan Sujun (played by Xu Jinjiang) defected to the Japanese army and became a traitor, forcing Lu Yunsheng to send A Shan (played by Tang Zhenye) to assassinate Yuan. The War of Resistance Against Japan has finally won, and Lu Yunsheng is expected to become the mayor of Shanghai, which makes him quite gratified. However, the harsh reality is that he has lost his usefulness, and a generation of warlords is gradually entering a dead end in an era that does not belong to him
