Description

Plot Summary

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the usually dull and lustful King Xuan of Qi (played by Anita Mui) accidentally stumbled upon the beautiful village leader Zhong Wuyan (played by Sammi Cheng) and decided to marry her as his queen. However, the "fox spirit" (played by Cecilia Cheung) who had always been infatuated with Zhong Wuyan intervened, causing an unsightly red spot to appear on her face for no reason if she fell in love with someone else. The fox spirit later transformed into Xia Yingchun and seduced King Qi Xuan, who spent his days immersed in the gentle countryside. And Zhong Wuyan risked her life and death to fight north and south for her husband. King Qi Xuan only speaks to Zhong Wuyan when he needs help. King Qi Xuan was very fond of gambling and even used Zhong Wuyan as a bargaining chip to lose. Zhong Wuyan angrily left, and the red spots on her face naturally disappeared. After Xia Yingchun succeeded, he also left the palace. It was only then that King Xuan of Qi realized who he loved the most, and the prodigal son turned back. When attacked by traitors, Zhong Wuyan, who still loved King Qi Xuan, rushed to the palace to help drive away the foreign enemies
