Description
Plot Summary
Emperor Zhengde (Zhang Zhen) and his imperial sister Wushuang (Wang Fei) are both tired of the monotonous life in the palace and want to sneak out to see the outside world. The unparalleled woman disguised herself as a man and arrived in Meilong Town in Jiangnan, where she met the siblings Ah Long (Tony Leung Chiu wai) and Ah Feng (Zhao Wei) who opened a shop there. After falling in love with Ah Long, she also fell in love with him. When Wu Shuang's identity was exposed and he was brought back to the palace, Emperor Zhengde came to Meilong Town in disguise and helped Ah Feng when he was provoked by criminals. After getting to know each other for a period of time, the two developed feelings for each other. Unable to bear the longing for Arong, Wushuang once again escaped from the palace and returned to Meilong Town. The four met in a shop and after the misunderstanding was cleared up, they secretly committed to life. However, they were stopped by the Empress Dowager.
