Plot Summary

Ten years after the Jedi defeated the Sith Apprentice, the Galactic Republic once again faced a threat. Former Jedi Count Dooku (played by Christopher Lee) incited thousands of galaxies to break away from the Republic and established a large army of robots to prepare for a coup. Amidala (played by Natalie Portman) from Naboo Star arrived on Coruscant Star as a member of parliament after finishing her term as queen, determined to cast a crucial vote for the formation of the Republican Army. Obi Wan Kenobi (played by Ewan McGregor) and his grown up Anakin (played by Hayden Christensen) are tasked with protecting Amidala's safety. During Anakin's escort of Amidala back to Naboo for refuge, the two fell in love and decided to travel together to Tatooine to search for Anakin's mother. At the same time, Obi Wan investigates the assassin's whereabouts and delves deep into the planet Geonosis, discovering Count Dooku's conspiracy while himself is trapped in prison and in imminent danger... This film was nominated for the Best Visual Effects Award at the 75th Academy Awards in 2003.
