Plot Summary
Does Jane Austen's life (played by Anne Hathaway) be filled with twists and turns and a fulfilling ending like her writing? Becoming Jane "describes her life in a biographical way: her mother worked hard to match her marriage with wealthy people from the upper class. But Jane does not accept a marriage without love, believing that women must rely on their own abilities to support themselves. So, she refused the proposal of the nobleman Mr. Weasley and fell in love with Tom Lefroy (played by James McAvoy), who had a heart to heart connection. Good things are difficult to come by. Someone intervened and caused Tom's family to not approve of their marriage. Tom decided to elope with Jane. But in this way, Tom's source of income will be cut off, and Jane will also face secular pressure and a life of poverty. How far will the two of them go on the road of elopement? Will there be a happy ending?
