Plot Summary

A warm, inspirational, and unpretentious movie full of positive energy. If understood as a biography, this film is still remarkable - although the scattered subplots, except for love and friendship, did not end well, it does not affect our understanding of everything a great person has contributed. In the 1940s, Richard Piedmont (played by Ron Livingston) was born into an ordinary but crisis ridden family. Mother (played by Rebecca De Mornay) suffers severe mental distress due to consecutive miscarriages, while father (played by Clint Jung) passes away prematurely due to an accident. By chance, Richard fell in love with public speaking. Although his education was not high, he won countless honors with his excellent eloquence.
