Description
Plot Summary
Frank (Milan Peschel) and Simon (Steffi K ü hnert) were originally a happy couple with stable jobs, a newly purchased house, and a pair of children. However, a sudden news not only shocked Frank, but also caused the entire family to collapse in an instant - Frank was diagnosed with a brain tumor that could not be operated on. He, who is about to face death, is trying his best to overcome the side effects of drug therapy and chemotherapy. Frank didn't have much time left, so he started using his phone to record the last moments of his life every day. This film won the One Focus Unit and One Focus Award at the 64th Cannes Film Festival in 2011. The director explained that the origin of this film comes from some friends around them who are suffering from illnesses, and these experiences that are about to reach the end of their lives become the story of this film. The film has almost no script, only a simple outline, and all the dialogues come from the actors' live performances.
