Description

Plot Summary

Due to a skydiving accident, wealthy white man Philippe (played by Francois Cluzet) is paralyzed in bed and wants to hire a full-time caregiver. Due to high salaries and a large number of applicants, each with a bright tongue, they were unable to touch his heart. It wasn't until the appearance of the black man Driss (played by Omar Sy) that he made a decision. Dexis has just been released from prison, burdened with the heavy burden of his family, and all he wants to do is find a way to resign and apply for relief funds. Moreover, he is clearly more interested in female assistants than this job. But Philip still fell in love with this young man at first glance. So, Desis began a one month probation period. Although the comfortable luxury environment made him feel vain, he still faced many challenges: not only did he have to do physical rehabilitation for Philip, but he also had to give him baths, enemas, open letters, wear stockings, and so on. At first, the two had vastly different ways of thinking and values, but as they got to know each other better, they became friends... This film is based on real events and won the Golden Kirin Award for Best Picture at the 2011 Tokyo Film Festival. Fran ç ois Kruse and Omar Sae shared the Best Actor award.
