Description
Plot Summary
Captain Wipe Whittaker (Denzel Washington) piloted Flight 227 out of Orlando. When the plane was able to pass through the clouds, an unexpected malfunction occurred. In an emergency, experienced VIP made a forced landing on an open space outside a small church. VIP miraculously controlled the plane and safely returned everyone to the ground. After the accident, VIP became a national hero. Afterwards, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States launched an investigation into the flight accident and found that the truth behind the accident was actually related to VIP's drug abuse and alcoholism. Is VIP a hero or a prisoner? Can he maintain his heroic image? This film was nominated for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay at the 85th Academy Awards, as well as for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama at the 70th Golden Globe Awards. The cost of 'Flight Crash' was only $31 million, making it the lowest budget film directed by Robert Zemeckis since his debut film 'One Kiss' in 1978.
