Retain all behind the scenes content of the movie: I originally wanted to endure it until it was released in mainland China before going to the cinema to watch it, but I couldn't resist it in the end. Since I haven't watched Friend 1, there's no way to compare it. Judging solely from the plot of Friend 2, it can't be considered outstanding among the many gangster movies, and it can even be said to be a bit boring. The unclear narrative and character introduction at the beginning about Cui Chengxun and the three of them when they were children, with too many memories interspersed in the middle, led to the realization that the friend who had been accompanying him all along was not one of the three members of the group at that time when Cui Chengxun donated incense money later. That friend died in a car accident ten years ago. This film is not slow to heat up, it's just that Li Junshuo and Cui Chengxun didn't handle their respective flashbacks well, which slowed down the overall pace. The most impressive memory handling effect in gangster movies for me is in "Jianghu" starring Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung, where the big reversal of the ending truth is truly shocking. The double plotlines that were thought to have happened in reality turned out to be memories of their youth. It's not that it's not wonderful. Returning to Friend 2, the climax of the entire film should have been the revelation of Choi Sung hoon's identity, but unfortunately it was leaked early on. On the contrary, the only surprising scene was when three little brothers were eating and chatting at a food stall. It was a rare and relaxed scene, with slightly funny conversations, but without warning, a car suddenly entered the scene. With a loud bang, the two of them flew high with the car, without blood splattering or screaming, only capturing the third person's stunned expression for 0.5 seconds. In these 0.5 seconds, not only did it leave no room for breathing, but it felt like being choked and forced to feel the dizziness caused by suffocation. But he particularly prefers this kind of expressive technique that can bring shocking effects. Although the overall plot of the film is average, the explosive performance of Yubin completely brought me into his world. The first time my heart trembled was on the night when I saw Cui Chengxun getting drunk. In the small alley on his way home, he said to Li Junshuo drunkenly, 'Thank you.'. He said that when I was in prison, for the first time in my life, a male elder protected me. Suddenly remembered the scene in the prison office where he sat across from Li Junshuo, smoking heavily with his head down. I feel so heartbroken that it's hard to control myself. Originally, he wasn't disdainful, he wasn't used to being cared for. Cui Chengxun is undoubtedly powerful, as Li Junshuo said later. For people like us, we all have some thoughts and desires to become leaders in our own way, especially for those like Chengxun who have outstanding temperament. As soon as he appeared, he led a group of brothers to kill each other, with reckless behavior, fierce eyes, and a nonchalant attitude even towards imprisonment. A person who is not afraid of death or unwilling to share their past with others on the road is directly proportional to their strength and the harm they have suffered. Even though he understood this truth, he never imagined that on this drunken night, in front of Li Junshuo whom he had only met for a short time, he would open his unhealed wounds without any defense. A person who lives by licking blood on the tip of a knife is not allowed to have a fragile side, so after a night, he became the fearless Cui Chengxun again. How I once hoped that from now on, Li Junshuo would become his reliance. However, the cruelest thing in the underworld is never fighting, it is the truth. I think if given the choice, Cui Chengxun would rather not know the truth for the rest of his life, so that he wouldn't lose an elder he could rely on and a friend he was willing to open up to. There is nothing more tragic than not getting it, nothing is getting it and then losing it. The little warmth that I finally felt turned into ice in an instant. Cui Chengxun must hate that he couldn't take action against Li Junshuo. Hate and suffer. That's why he said he had no impression of his father and pretended not to care about the truth. Therefore, upon learning another truth, the suppressed hatred finally found an outlet. That knife stabbed not only the hatred towards Enki, but also the hatred towards Li Junshuo. Until the end, I seemed to be in a conscious but unresponsive state, and when the subtitles came out, I hadn't fully recovered. I don't know how to describe my feelings at that time, whether I felt more sorry for Yubin's portrayal of Choi Seong hoon or more sorry for Yubin's portrayal of Choi Seong hoon. It takes more involvement in the play to infuse one's soul into one's own body and merge into one. He vividly portrayed Cui Chengxun's ferocity, hooliganism, fearlessness, guilt towards his friends, love for his mother, hatred ingrained in his blood, and occasional vulnerability. Without Jin Yubin, there would be no Cui Chengxun.

Technical Specifications

Director:

Guo Jingze

Cast:

Liu Wuxing, Zhu Zhenmo, Jin Yubin

Audio:

KoreanDTS-HD?
