Description
Plot Summary
The story takes place in a dark and sparsely populated theater, where screenwriter Thomas (played by Mathieu Amalric) is searching for a suitable female lead for his adapted script "Venus in Fur". The consecutive interviews with several actors disappointed Thomas, as they were vastly different from the perfect goddess image in his mind. The interview ended with nothing, and just as Thomas was about to leave, a down and out girl who had been drenched broke into the theater. The girl's name is Wanda (played by Emmanuelle Seigner), coincidentally, she shares the same name as the female protagonist in Thomas' script. However, Wanda's rude behavior and shallow knowledge make Thomas secretly deny her in his heart. To Thomas' surprise, Wanda not only had all the scripts, but also brought her own costumes. With Wanda's repeated insistence, Thomas agreed to her request to audition and personally played with her. In the pouring rain, a great show about men and women, command and obedience began.
