Plot Summary

Xuanwu Study is planning to publish a medium-sized Mandarin dictionary for contemporary people, "The Great Crossing of the Sea". Experienced and meticulous Mandarin scholar Tomoyuki Matsumoto (played by Kato Gang) serves as the supervisor and director, but his most respected editor, Hirokazu Araki (played by Kaoru Kobayashi), has reached retirement age and chooses to go home to take care of his sick wife.
