Description

Plot Summary

Adapted from the novel of the same name by Jiang Rong, co produced by China and France, directed by the renowned French director Jean Jacques Annaud for "Soldiers Under the City" and "Tiger Brothers", with 7 years of preparation, starring Feng Shaofeng, Dou Xiao, Basenzabu, Ang He Nima, and Yin Zhusheng. In the 1960s, Beijing educated youth Chen Zhen (played by Feng Shaofeng) and Yang Ke (played by Dou Xiao) came to the Eren Grassland in Inner Mongolia to join the production team of the Mongolian herder Bilige Lao Ren (played by Basen) and his daughter-in-law Gasmai (played by Anghanima), and began several years of grazing life. In the process of interacting with the wolf pack, Chen Zhen gradually learned about this animal with strong curiosity, and even had the idea of raising his own little wolf. The Mongolian people revere wolves and love grasslands, while the Han people plunder land for profit, leading to "wars" between wolf packs and humans. The production team led by the director of the field department, Bao Shungui (played by Yin Zhusheng), ultimately launched a wolf extermination campaign, which plunged the relationship between wolf packs and humans into a state of tension... The relationship between nature and humans also faced unprecedented challenges. The movie is adapted from the novel of the same name by Jiang Rong and took 5 years to complete filming.
