Plot Summary

In 1995, a large-scale armed robbery of banknotes occurred in Guangdong. A bank cash truck was robbed by five armed robbers, resulting in losses of up to 15 million yuan. Three cashiers were also killed in the incident. The incident shocked the whole country, and the Public Security Bureau immediately established a special task force. Led by Wang Shouyue (played by Lin Jiadong) and He Lan (played by Zhang Songwen), the criminal police quickly searched for evidence and successfully identified the whereabouts of the five robbers, arresting them one by one. Surprisingly, the real mastermind behind the case revealed by the robber was Chen Xinwen (played by Da Peng), the owner of a construction company, and his cousin Chen Xinnian (played by Sun Yang). Chen Xinwen and Chen Xinnian were on the verge of success and embarked on the path of escape, disappearing from the world from then on.
