Description
Plot Summary
Jerry Fletcher (played by Mel Gibson) is an ordinary taxi driver in New York who is alone and has nothing to do. Probably too bored, Jerry often fantasizes about various conspiracy theories about the government and tells them to every passenger. It seems that some of it is fake and true, and he is also cautious and nervous in his daily life. Jerry is obsessed with the beautiful lawyer Alice Sutton (played by Julia Roberts) and often communicates with her about his conspiracy theory news. In recent times, there have been frequent incidents of water pipe bursts in New York. Jerry witnessed the FBI appearing at the scene and concluded that there must be some conspiracy behind this. This time, he did not make a mistake, and soon a group of mysterious characters were attracted to this man who spoke freely... This film won three awards, including Best Actress (Julia Roberts), Best Actor (Mel Gibson) and Best Supporting Actor (Patrick Stewart) at the 1998 Popular Entertainment Awards.
