Plot Summary

In 1806 AD, England was attacked from all sides in the protracted war against Napoleon, and the practical wizards had disappeared hundreds of years ago. However, scholars studying the glorious history of the past have found that there is still a practical wizard alive - Mr. Norell. This person lives in seclusion, yet shows some skill, which amazed the whole country. After moving to London, he revived the American woman and summoned the Phantom Fleet to deter the French invaders. He always hesitates and makes a big deal out of it, but the consequences are daunting - Jonathan Strange is just starting out and has already made a name for himself. This student is in full bloom, talented, and full of energy, completely opposite to Norell in all aspects. From then on, the struggle between the two great wizards was constant and perilous, even more so than the war between England and France. The two of them each held onto their own thoughts, secretly delving deeper into black magic, but little did they know that everything was actually trapped in a cocoon, and their future was perilous and unpredictable.
