Plot Summary

Tom (played by Mel Gibson), the president of United Airlines, has worked hard for many years to achieve remarkable results, but recently he has been involved in a bribery union case. Fortunately, his happy family always provides him with timely comfort. That day, Tom and his family of three attended a children's science school party, and in the midst of a chaotic crowd, their son Sean was kidnapped. The robber quickly called and demanded two million dollars from Tom. At the same time, kidnapping expert Lonnie and the FBI intervened in the case. The robber's leader was New York police officer Jimmy (played by Gary Sinise), whose strong anti investigation skills left the police at a loss for action. John cooperated with the police arrangements, but became passive step by step. John, who was extremely anxious, decided to take a risk and publicly turned the ransom into a reward for capturing the kidnappers in the media. Jimmy confronted him head-on, and the two sides engaged in a tightrope like psychological battle.
