Description
Plot Summary
On Thursday morning, August 8, 1963, a Royal Mail train from Glasgow to London was hijacked by a group of 15 criminals who stole a total of £ 2.6 million (equivalent to £ 46 million today). The money has never been found, but the hiding place of this group was later discovered by the police, and the robbery gangs were all convicted and imprisoned. Two episodes of 'The Great Train Robbery', created by BBC, are two one and a half hour TV movies. The two episodes are not consecutive. The second episode is called "The Story of the Police" and begins to tell the story after the robbery. Six London Metropolitan Police officers form an investigation team to investigate this shocking national robbery
